An IT engineer on Saturday passed on after he was purportedly beaten with an iron bar and stones over a parking spot question here.

39-year-old Neville Battiwala was beaten by three men. He had questioned stopping of vehicles before his lodge situated in Kondhwa.

Battiwala was celebrating on his housetop when a contention broke out with the drivers of a traveler organization which swelled into a battle.

Following this, the 39-year-old was hurried to the healing center where he surrendered to his wounds.

On Thursday, the three blamed – Sriganesh Raskar (31), Yogesh Kadwe (22) and Vikram Bhombe (31) were captured.

A senior cop of Kondhwa police headquarters said that Raskar maintains a vehicle business, and his driver used to stop the vehicles before the entryway of Battiwala’s lodge.

“Battiwala frequently protested it. On Friday night, the perished had another contention with Raskar over the issue that prompted the fight,” said the officer.

Raskar and the other two attacked Battiwala with rods and left him injured. “Battiwala was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to injuries,” he said.

Neville had migrated to Pune two years back and was working with a product firm.
