In Badayun district, the administration had locked the statue of Baba Sahib near an intersection in the city and locked it in an iron cage. When this matter came into the media, the administration immediately removed the cage. However, the duty of the police is also to protect the statue. Three home guard protects the statue 24 hours. According to media reports, the police had taken a donation from the traders and made a cage for the statue and even cleaned it around it. On 7th April the statue of Bhimrao Ambedkar was broken in Dugaraiya village. After which the administration installed a new idol, but the coat of the statue was saffron color. When the villagers opposed it, Bahujan Samaj Party leader Hemant Gautam painted it back in blue color.
