The lady, has a five-month-old daughter from the relationship, has moved for bail and the request is expected on Friday. The court also enabled the mother to keep the daughter with her in Byculla imprison, Mumbai. The complaint filed by the kid’s mother claimed that the lady had “enticed” her child. The FIR was filed last December and the lady was arrested this month. Notwithstanding charges under the Pocso Act, the lady has been booked under segments of the IPC for kidnapping and criminal intimidation and Child Marriage Act. The “marriage” occurred on November 8, 2017. The meaning of a “child” under the Child Marriage Act implies a male who is under 21 years old and a female under 18. In December 2017 police statement, the mother said on November 23, at 10pm, the lady had gone to her home joined by her parents and brother. She said the lady claimed that she had married her son and would now live in the house. The mother said when she and her husband restricted this, the lady abused them and threatened to hurt herself. She said after the lady left at around 11pm, her child too left home and declined to return. She claimed the lady was married twice and divorced. The mother said that she has two daughters aged 20 and 18 and her child is 17 years and eight months old. She further added that her child and the lady had been in contact for a long time and from that point onward, his behavior changed. The mother claimed that her child had informed her and his dad that the lady had been threatening to commit suicide if he quit meeting her. She asserted the lady had even tried suicide by pouring kerosene over herself and drinking a disinfectant. She guaranteed this had made mental pressure on her child who failed in his Class X exam.
