Naveed got away after killing one and harming another policeman in the assault. The occurrence occurred when he was being escorted by cops for check up at Shri Maharaja Hari Singh hospital in Srinagar. He was among six prisoners who had been conveyed to the healing center from Central Jail. “Out of them, one snatched weapons from police and fired at the protection party. Two policemen have been injured and one is critical. The prisoner’s name is Naveed. He is probably an outsider,” SSP Srinagar Imtiaz Ismail Parray said. Naveed was captured in 2015 after he and one of his accessories assaulted a BSF guard close Narsoo Nallah in Udhampur. He was kept in the Central Jail in Srinagar. He apparently had a place with Waseem group of LeT. The region has been cordoned off and look is on to follow the aggressors. Crisis, OPD and different administrations at the clinic have continued.
