Union Minister Arun Jaitely announced that the CEA resignation through a facebook post titled as “Thank You Arvind” on wednesday, where he disclosed that CEA will be leaving the Finance Ministry because of “Family Commitments”. ” His reasons were personal but extremely important for him. He left me with no options but to agree with him.” Jaitely wrote in the post. It was disclosed by Subramanian that he was expecting his grandchild in September and said he will go back with the best memories of his life and addressing Jaitely as “dream boss”. “There are formalities to be done and I will be staying for a month or two.”Subramanian told reporters. Before joining the government, Subramanian was the Dennis Weatherstone senior fellow at the center for global development. Subramanian was handpicked by Modi Government to step into shoes of Raghuram Rajan , who had moved to become Reserve Bank’s Governor.
