Joined by top rank authorities from Indian Army and J&K Police, Sitharaman offered her condolences and guaranteed family of the soldier that the perpetrators of the crime would be brought to justice. Aurangzeb was kidnapped by terrorists and later shot to death by them. His body was found by some police men and Army officers in the village of Gussu some 10 kilometers away from kalampoora in Pulwama district. It is believed that Pakistani ISI may be involved in this and may have even asked Lashkar-e-taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Hizbul Mujahideen not to claim responsibility of the killing. Sources in the Intelligence Agencies have also said that ISI is keeping a close watch on the situation of J&K. Aurangzeb was laid in rest on Saturday in Poonch with hundreds of people attending his funeral.
