Migraine is neurological condition by severe headaches usually painful and throbbing one side of the brain. The pain can last for some hours or even days. it builds up and the time it reaches the peak it becomes  unbearable for the person. The pain usually occurs one side of the brain.

Pain is Due of the  blocking  of the brain nerves that causes tension in the nerves. Although research is going on to get to the cause. This results in the swelling of the nerve and creates a feeling as if someone is hammering the head.  Migraine is often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, aura( it is an illusion of seeing lights, spots or may be geometrical shapes), irritation, depression or sudden excitement.

Not taking proper sleep, bad appetite, consumption of alcohol or some drugs  and extreme sensitivity with light or sound. There can be  several reasons  to figure out if you are suffering from migraine. Lack of sleep, lack of rest, anxiety, stress ,  lack of proper diet, hormonal changes, tyramine (amino acid found in soya sauce, pickles, chesse etc.) adds up to the causes of migraine. Migraine is more common in women than compared to men.  Hormonal imbalance is also one of the main reason.

Meditation can help in reducing the pain, a healthy diet including green vegetables can also be helpful. Taking proper sleep and do proper exercise. Intake of magnesium of almost 400 gm per day is also helpful in curing migraine. Intake of caffeine should be limited, this includes coffee and tea. Research is still going on to get to know the cause and cure of migraine .  Ignoring early symptoms can lead to life time problems. It is suggested to go for an early diagnose and prefer the medicines prescribed by the doctor.
