Indian government announced that they are going to roll out the Rs. 20 coin.

A circular, issued by the Ministry of Finance, stated, “In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) and clause (e) of sub-section (2) of section 24 of the Coinage Act, 2011 (11 of 2011), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules…”

These principles might be known as the Coinage of One Rupee, Two Rupees, Five Rupees, Ten Rupees and Twenty Rupees Rules, 2019, it included.

They may come into power on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. Division of Coins.- The coins of One Rupee, Two Rupees, Five Rupees, Ten Rupees and Twenty Rupees will also be coined at the Mint for issue under the expert of the Central Government.

Here are the features of the new 20-rupee coins:

The coin will have a 27mm dia and a 12 sided polygon shape.

The outer ring will be made of Nickel Silver Copper: 65%, Zinc: 15% and Nickel: 20%.

Centre part will be made out of Nickel Brass Copper: 75%, Zinc: 20% and Nickel: 05%.

On the Obverse, the one side of the coin will have the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar with the legend “Satyameyev Jayate” inscribed below it, flanked on the left fringe with “Bharat” in Hindi and on the correct outskirts with “India” in English.

On the Reverse, the essence of the coin will bear denominational esteem “20” in the global numerals.

The Rupee image will be appeared over the denominational esteem.

The design of grains delineating the agricultural strength of the nation is flanked on the left edge of the coin.

The upper right and bottom right side will bear “20 Rupaye” in Hindi and “Twenty Rupees” in English.

The time of stamping in worldwide numerals will be appeared focal point of left outskirts of the coin.
