A 35-year-old person from Guwahati, who worked as assistant manager of security in IndiGo, was discovered hanging from a roof fan in a guest house in Sushant Lok-1 on Friday morning. The police have started investigation procedures under Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).

As per the police, the lady had gone to the city to go to a business related training program and was supposed return to the her home in Assam on Friday.

Karan Goyal, assistant commissioner of police, DLF, citing a relative of the victim, said that when the lady did not look at the planned time, the victim’s associate tried to contact with her on the phone in her room from the front desk of the guest house.

“At the point when there was no response, the guest house staff broke open the door and found the lady hanging,” said Goyal. The police said no suicide note was recovered from the lodging room and the explanation behind supposed suicide was not known. A police official aware of the issue said that the police were informed around 7.15 pm.

“No proof was recouped from crime scene to propose foul play. The victim’s body has been kept in the mortuary. The police have reached the victim’s sibling, who is en route to the city from Guwahati. The post mortem would be directed on Saturday,” said the police official, asking for obscurity.

The police said that the victim was married.

The proprietor of the guest house, who did not wish to be named, stated, “The lady had ordered food between 9.30 pm and 10 pm on Thursday night. She was staying alone in the room. A few people of the privately company were staying in the lodging too. The police was educated promptly about the occurrence.”
