Senior Congress leader and previous union minister Salman Khurshid on Tuesday started a debate after he said that his party is stained with the blood of Muslims. He made the statement while he was addressing to an intelligent session with students of Aligarh Muslim University.

Amid the session, an student named Amir Mintoee brought up that a most of the riots broke out amid the Congress party’s government. To which, the previous association law serve stated, “Congress party is stained with the blood of Muslims. As a leader of the party, I feel the blots are on my hand too.”

“AMU Act was corrected in 1948 and after that Muslim Dalits were denied of reservation under the SC/St share following presidential order in 1950. Against Muslim uproars in Hashimpura, Malyana, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Bhagalpur, Moradabad and Aligarh and demolition of Babri Masjid all occurred amid the Congress government. How might to wash these stains from Congress’ hand?” Mintoee inquired.

Responding to Khurshid’s comments, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Subramanian Swamy stated, “Now it’s the ideal opportunity for the Congress to pay for its wrongdoings.”
