The parents of the students of all-girls school in Hauz Qazi charge that kids were locked in the basement from 7:30 am to around 12:30 pm in extreme heat. They were hungry and thirsty, yet teachers didn’t cared, they charge. Zia-Ud-Din, one of the parents of girl locked, stated, “Kids were locked in the basement for not paying the fees. I had paid the fees, regardless of that my kid was locked. The kids were thirsty and were suffering the extreme heat. Police helped us. Indeed, even after I showed the proof of fees paid, the Principal was not apologetic.” Another parent, Muhammad Khalid, stated, “If fees is not paid, why are you punishing the children? The girls were crying continuously.” A case has been filed against the school authorities, the police said. “We have filed a case under section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act. We are investigating the issue,” police told.
