A man jumped into a lion enclosure at a zoo in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday yet was rescue to being spotted by a staff.

The man, recognized as Murugan advised securitymen he went to the walled area “to have a chat with the lion”.  Stunned guests at the zoo said he waved to the group as he moved toward the resting lioness.

The episode happened around 11.45am, when Murugan sneaked into the walled in area subsequent to scaling two hindrances.

A guard saw him and quickly alerted security staff, who entered the walled in area and hauled him out in the wake of redirecting the consideration of the lioness, named Gracy.

Murugan, a local of Palakkad, was absent from his home for over a week and his relatives had issued a missing individual’s ad in significant daily papers.

“It would have been a major tragedy if the watchman failed to notice him. If he teased the animal, it would become violent in no time,” said an official of the zoo.

Murugan was admitted to a hospital as he endured wounds on his leg while crawling into the walled in area. His relatives have been educated. Police said they will record a case subsequent to addressing him.
