A man in Gurgaon allegedly stabbed his wife more than 40 times. The incident is from Ashok Vihar in Gurgaon, police said on Sunday.

Pankaj Bhardwaj, 28, and his associate Nashim Ahmed, 39, were arrested on charge of the murder, Gurgaon Police PRO Subhash Bokan said. Vanshika Sharma was found dead with injuries counting more than 40.

“Bhardwaj was missing since the incident. He was our prime suspect. We caught him with the help of surveillance on Sunday from Laxman Vihar zone,” Bokan said. Bhardwaj and Sharma got married in April 2016.

Amid cross investigation, the accused guaranteed that his wife used to abuse and insult him due to this they argumented daily. He also claimed that even his in-laws insulted him many times, the officer said.
