A 27-year-old lady got Rs 70,000 after a Chandigarh-based matchmaking website failed to find a good groom as her desire.

The Chandigarh based matchmaking site  pay over rs 70,000 to a 27-year-old customer, with rs 58,650 being the refund and rs 12,000 being the compensation costs, reports PTI.

She filed a complaint asserting that on June 2, 2016, she had signed up by paying Rs 58,650 for a year ‘royal’ plan. She got around 21 profiles of the partner for her and conferences and meetings were arranged by the organization. Yet, she found them “unimportant and not up to desires.”

A legal notice dated July 30, 2016, was then sent to the site. Nonetheless, the organization stated that the client herself had terminated the deal. She began rejecting the meetings and telephone calls and stopped accepting calls from its executives, the organization said.
