The victim got 90% burn injury and is currently in hospital struggling for life. It happened on Wednesday afternoon when the boyfriend, a resident of Dalhai Narendra Shakya had gone to meet his girlfriend’s father to ask him for marriage with his daughter. Shakya was allegedly in an relationship with Rashmi and the couple wanted to get married. Be that as it may, the girl’s parents were not agreed on their relationship. On Wednesday, Rashmi’s dad Ramnaresh had called the guy, who was a truck driver, to meet him at their local Geva Asadulahpur town. “At the point when the victim arrived at their home, the girl’s family tied him to cot. Her dad with relatives Dayaram and Umesh poured kerosene on the young guy and set him on fire,” senior cop Sanjay Kumar was cited as saying. He included that the police reached the spot after being informed by local residents. As per a report, Rashmi’s dad presumed that Shakya had ran away with his daughter as she had been not at home for a couple of days. While the girl’s father and relative Dayaram have been arrested, Umesh is fleeing. They have been reserved under sections 307 (trying to kill), 342 (wrongful confinement), 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means) of the IPC, police said.
