The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed the petition filed by Congress workers, in which demand for the release of PM Modi’s biopic was sought. The apex court said that it was not fulfilling the appeal for the ban on the release of the film, because this argument appears to be “impossible” because the censor board has not yet guaranteed the film. It said even of whether the film is discharged on April 11, as guaranteed by the Congress dissident, it will be suitable for him to look for a redressal from the Election Commission. “We, therefore do not consider it fit to entertain the petition”, a bench comprising Chief justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justices Deepak Gupta and Sanjiv Khanna said.
