The Ballia locale district has taken a serious note of a complaint that students of an inter college are being punished for singing “Vande Mataram” or chanting “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and ordered for an investigation into it.

Individuals from social welfare association Manas Mandir, who visited the GMAM Inter College on Bilthara Road yesterday, found that the students in the institution were being punished for singing “Vande Mataram” or droning “Bharat Mata ki Jai” after the school prayers and complaint about it the authorities.

As indicated by the manager of the organisation, Shiv Kumar Jaiswal, the students, as well as complained about the assembly on camera.

“Economics teacher Sanjay Pandey disclosed to us that there was a ban on singing Vande Mataram and chanting Bharat Mata ki Jai in the school and anybody doing as such is punished,” Jaiswal said Saturday.

“Pandey revealed to us that one student, who by mistake had droned ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ after the group, was made to squat under the sun for hours,” he included.

“The students additionally told the colleagues they were punished on the off chance that they attempted to sing Vande Mataram,” Jaiswal stated, including that he had effectively sent a copy of the complaint, alongside the videos of the statements of the students and teachers, to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

When, District Magistrate Bhawani Singh Khangaraut said the matter was not kidding and that District Inspector of School (DIOS) Narendra Dev Pandey was directed to investigate it.

“Stern action will be made against those found responsible of it,” he included.

The principal of the school, Majid Nasir, notwithstanding, asserted that the complained was a conspiracy to defame the organization.

The video containing the statements of the students and teachers has likewise been transferred on social networking sites by the individuals from Manas Mandir.
