According to the order issued, the weddings won’t be allowed a day before the ‘Kumbh snaan’ which will be held among January and March next year. The order have been sent by the district administration to all the wedding hall owners and hoteliers, aslking that they cancel every of the bookings amid the said time. Five key ‘snaan’ (shower) will happen amid the sacred journey – two Makar Sankranti and Paush Poornima ‘snaan’ in January, Mauni Amavasya, Basant Panchmi and Maaghi Poornima ‘snaan’ in Feburary and Mahashivtarti ‘snaan’ in March. Devotees are expected upon to turn up in large number for this yearly custom.
