Like all teams in quarantine in the UAE, players use their rooms as portable gyms to keep in shape.
Virat Kohli, an epitome of fitness, has maintained his workout schedule in the United Arab Emirates ( UAE), even during his quarantine period. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Wednesday took Twitter to post a little video of their skipper sweating it on the hotel room balcony. “Welcome to the gym of Captain Kohli. Catch the day” said RCB in a Twitter video.
Due to increasing cases of coronavirus in the region, IPL 2020 has been relocated from India.
Both matches of the cash-rich league’s 13th edition will take place at three venues: Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
In last year’s IPL, RCB finished 8th and the Bangalore-based franchise is looking to turn things around in the UAE.
Recently, Kohli highlighted the importance of following all protocols in a virtual meeting with his IPL teammates, and warned that one mistake might ruin the entire tournament.
“We’ve done what we’ve been told, and I’d expect us to be on the same page all the time in terms of protecting the bubble and making sure nothing is broken,” said Kohli.
“And I think will of us can literally ruin the whole game and none of us wants to do that,” the RCB skipper said.
The T20 League starts on September 19, and on November 10, the IPL final will be played.
